For Class 12 students, the CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2027 is the document that turns months of preparation into a calendar. It will show the order of your papers across Science, Commerce and Humanities, and how many days you get to recover between them. As of 31 October 2026, CBSE has not released it, so here is what you can do now and what to check once it appears.

Status of the CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2027
The board has not yet published the 2027 schedule for Class 12 as of 31 October 2026. When it does, it will appear on cbse.gov.in, usually as a document separate from the Class 10 one. Until then, ignore any exact dates floating around online. For the combined picture across both classes, see our CBSE Date Sheet 2027 updates page.
What the Class 12 Timetable Will Cover
The official PDF will list every theory paper across streams, including core subjects and electives. Typical combinations look like this:
- Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics, along with English and an optional subject.
- Commerce: Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics and Mathematics where chosen.
- Humanities: subjects such as History, Political Science, Geography and Psychology.
Check your subject codes against your registration, then note each paper’s date and time. Practical exams and internal assessment follow their own schedule, which your school will confirm.
If Two Papers Seem to Clash
Students with unusual elective combinations sometimes find two papers on the same day. First verify the dates against your registered subjects in the official PDF, because a copied or older timetable can mislead you. If a genuine clash remains, tell your school promptly so it can raise the issue with CBSE through the proper channel. Do not assume the board will fix it automatically.
Two-Exam System and Class 12
The two-board-exam system introduced in 2026 applies to Class 10, not Class 12. Class 10 students sit a compulsory main exam and can take an optional May exam to improve up to three subjects, with the better score counted. Class 12 continues with one board examination, so your first sitting is your main chance. That makes mock tests and steady revision even more important. Younger siblings or friends can read our Class 10 date sheet guide for how the system works.
Study Plan for Class 12 While You Wait
- Map the full syllabus. Tick off chapters you can teach to a friend and highlight the rest.
- Prioritise heavy units. Give more time to high-weightage and difficult chapters in each subject.
- Practise with a clock. Attempt full papers in the exact duration and review where time ran out.
- Keep entrance exams in view. If you are preparing for NEET, JEE or other tests, check their dates separately so your board and entrance plans do not collide.
- Rework your calendar after the release. Add the official dates, then plan lighter days around the paper gaps and extra revision before the toughest subjects.
Sample Papers and NCERT Practice
Download the official sample papers and marking schemes from cbseacademic.nic.in for your stream and subjects. Solve them in exam conditions and compare your answers with the marking scheme to see how marks are awarded. For Science students, NCERT remains the base of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, so keep our NCERT Science Textbooks PDF library handy for chapter-wise revision.
